Daylight savings,
Daylight savings, OK, whats the point.
Who was responsible for inventing this thing where we change the clocks twice a year. Who is in charge of changing the time, now? [ ({{ My wife just pointed out
standard time, standard time, daylight savings time is in the spring))) so flipping what]
Exactly my point, it makes no sense. Did we save time or lose time, or did it stay the same.
I read once where ice cream sales increased a few percentage points, because of the time change, word on that. Can’t remember the reasoning, or on what end, but I do remember there was other interesting statistics, related to the time change. I don’t remember them either.
I would bet, there is an industry behind the time change. Somebody is making some money. Stay with me on this, I think I’m on to something. I heard once that the reason the time change was instituted was to save energy. Hog wash. Lets have a reality check here. Every explanation I see starts out reasonable enough, but at some point the remark comes, "who would want to drive to work or go to school in the dark".
Kind of like scientology, its sound until you get towards the end. Anyway, its getting late, I’m getting hungry, and its only five in the afternoon. Luckily, I have a little extra light in the morning so I can do what I used to do in the afternoon, thank god for those 500 watt lights in my yard, for those things that have to be done daily.
So to end this, there is no more light today than there was yesterday, no more tomorrow, I eat ice cream at night all as much as in the daytime. The only consolation I get from this whole thing is, we are saving light, which is energy, which comes from the earth, its non renewable, and I like that. I now understand why we don’t utilize solar power.
This is payback for my wondering why
