Parents can only guide their kids.

This has got to be one of the most telling articles I have ever read. President Clinton and the President of the Association of Theater Owners agreeing to tighten enforcement of the ratings system. Isn’t it great to have such wonderful leaders thinking about whats best for our teenagers. Its sad that he has no credibility and the Association of Theater Owners can’t enforce this thought. ( Hey I thought, R meant under 18 not admitted, unless accompanied by an adult)

Anyway, I don’t think the point was to stop kids from seeing R rated movies, it was more for the Presidents ratings.

So, nothing has changed, as our local theater owner doesn’t think voluntarily compliance should supercede what the parents might think is best. I hereby give my proxy to any theater to use reasonable judgement when my teenager wants to see an R rated movie. If you have trouble recognizing my kid, err on the side that it might be any teenager, or preteen.

When your kid comes to my house, I won’t let them watch MTV, or visit inappropriate web sites , regardless if its OK with you, because I have boiled it down, and yes I do want the theater owners to use judgment. This censor word, has become an obscene word, it has pried this free speech thing wide open to where it means anything and everything is OK. Everything is OK if one can make a informed decision. Children and teenagers haven’t lived long enough to make these decision. In conclusion, just who is responsible here.

All I know is it ain’t my fault.

What is this feeling called "my fault". Is it really that hard to say whoops, I messed up, sorry, I’ll try a little harder next time.

Let me tell all you fault filled bastards an easy way out. Admit your mistakes, and it takes all the ammo away from those who are trying to make you feel like the transgressors you are.

There was a time I wanted those at fault to admit it. Then I realized if they were to admit the error, I could not continue bitching about it. Then I realized I did not want the admission, I was out to make them feel like a piece of ($$#*. Now only a piece of ($$#* would do that. Get the picture, I learned some things about myself. Now I am having to deal with those that have not.

Case in point. I put an $80.00 deposit down on a rental moving van, ( thought it was to secure the availability of said truck) The day for me to pick up the truck arrives, problem was the truck did not arrive. I’m pissed, as I am strung out on commitments.

(I won’t mention the company, but if you haul your own furniture, don’t).

Seems as the local renters just turn in a request for a truck at such and such time, so if it doesn’t make it, it is not their fault, fair enough.

Seems as the main company tracks the trucks and trys to route them where they are needed, if there isn’t a truck available, they can’t magically make one appear, fair enough.

Seems they both didn’t expect me to wonder where the phone call was, advising me that there may not be a truck available.

The next phone call, as with the rest, is to Ryder Truck Rental.

Its not my fault that I was mad, and come off like an asshole to the bitch who simply kept saying they have a truck available, in Smith Nevada. WHERE THE HELL IS SMITH NEVADA. A 4 hour drive, plus 15 minutes to find it on the map

As in all lessons, I must accept my responsibility for the hassle. Fine print, says

"location and availability subject to change"

Yup, after all it was my fault, I should have known.

Let me be one of those that have a sad feeling for those 2 young men. I will also confess, that in most of these shootings my first thought is for the shooter. If you think that means I have no compassion for the victims, go read somewhere else, you will not gain from reading further.

For all those that wish those two young men an eternal burn. They opted to chance there was no hell because the pain for them was not worth hanging around. They opted to take as many with them because they felt the victims caused there pain.

For clarity to those on the fence. Lets assume the victims were not party to any of the taunts. Those two shooters, did not look to be specific, it was the group in general. However wrong that thought is, it can’t be argued they were targeting a select group.

I would bet, that those who continually blame all and everything but those that taunted the shooters, can not draw the distinction between themselves and those that helped create the happening at that school.
