The $6,980 average price tag for a Concorde flight from London to New York, which has passengers paying $39 a minute for a three-hour flight, looks a lot steeper these days than it did in recent years of economic opulence.
Un ******* believable.
The price, or cost of expediency is relative to the masses ability to have it now, by paying the equivilint in buy now pay later. Thank god for Visa/MasterCard, we too can enjoy opulence.

ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkish Economy Minister Ali Babacan said Wednesday Washington had offered Turkey $6 billion in grants and an $8.5 billion bridging loan in return for stationing U.S. troops on Turkish soil.
Each $1 billion in grants would facilitate a $6 billion loan guarantee, Babacan told reporters at the Turkish parliament. That would mean total loan guarantees to Turkey could reach $30 billion.
I thought I heard the costs for this war would be in the trillions. Now a trillion dollars could be divided to give each person on earth a $167.00, so by comparison, we don't need to sweat the paltry 30 Billion bribe promised toTurkey.
Now, I have to say I am against this War. Furthermore, I am against those that say those of us who are against this war are un-American, because that un-American-ness is turned into, we are not supporting our young men who are going to fight in this War and that makes a person against the war an un-American piece of ****. So when a "real" American gets on a rant for War this makes for easily a logically-misleading stretch. Then that causes anti war folks to back off from their protests, weather the protest is in the office or the street.
Now Im not against the war just because of money, even though my monetary part at a trillion dollars is considerable, I am against the War because there are better ways to solve these problems. I am against this War because of the lives it will cost and Im not even thinking about the Iraqi people, I only thinking about the young men who will die because they are brainwashed into thinking. "War is good business and business is good, Kill Kill Kill".
I am disgusted because War is good business and business is good, during the war, and after the war. Its good business for the likes of the Enron Tyco big guys, in this case its the oil folks.
If those who are supporting this war had their young sons on the front lines, there would be no War. Their sons wont be on the front lines because they are being primed to take their place, their place is to make money off the ignorance of you and I.
The reality is this oil business and corruptness of general business is deep rooted, and unchangeble, without a major, major upset in lifestyle. And who wants to upset their little place in life. Give us good reality shows and a few trips to Macdonalds between paydays and we will do nothing . Take everybodys TV away and they would **** a brick. We are led and we like it.
And in respose to those who say "what is your solution". To lay out my solutions would be meaninless, I dont have the power to institute solutions.
I do have the power of saying my piece and when people read my stuff and think about it I hope they see the realities of the situation.
So no matter how this war is propagandized the costs for this war would be in the trillions. Now a trillion dollars could be divided to give each person on earth a $167.00, so by comparison.
You mean to tell me that you couldnt buy peace with a Trillion dollars. Of course you could! But it would have to be shared. Not gonna happen.
This War is about Money.

Speculation Rises on Greenspan's Future
By MARTIN CRUTSINGER, AP Economics Writer
WASHINGTON - His pointed criticism of the Bush tax plan showed that Alan Greenspan (news - web sites), often taken to task for being too murky in his economic pronouncements, can be crystal clear when he wants to be.
Kill the messenger, kill the messenger
Alan Greenspan has yet to understand that by stating his educated opinion, which by the way, is his job and responsibility, will create his demise. He has violated his team player status, so he will be kicked off the team. The team, which by virtue of being a team, and a big ass team at that, will stay in tact, and they can move and shake their way back to being in public favor. All the team has to do is continually tell the public that they are doing the right thing. In time even the wrong thing becomes accepted, because the bigger part of the team, ( second and third string) don't know any different.
Oh what happiness comes from being blissfully ignorant. The world is the ignorant mans oyster and if he waits long enough that grain of sand will become a valuable pearl, why, because somebody said so.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of Americans in jail or under supervision by authorities as a result of crimes grew by 2.3 percent by year-end 2001 to almost 6.6 million Americans, or one in every 32 adults, the government said on Sunday.
In all, about 3 percent of the U.S. adult population is in the U.S. correctional system.
Of these, 1.3 million were in prison, while 631,240 were in jail, the Department of Justicesaid. There were 3.9 million on probation and 731,147 people on parole, according to government data.
In the state of Idaho, one person in thirty is on probation. New Hampshire had the lowest proportion of probationers to its general population, at a rate of 385 per 100,000.
Avowed Utah Polygamist Could Go to Jail for Life

The man who lived with five wives and 29 children and has gone on national television to talk about his life was convicted in June of raping Linda Kunz Green after he married her in 1986, when he was 37 and she was 13.
"Even though Tom and I made an error in judgement in 1986, our intent was not to commit a crime. We had a religious ceremony before we had sex in which we made lifetime commitments to each other. It was not a situation where Tom 'knocked up' some girl and then decided that he had better marry her," Linda Kunz Green said in her letter.
Green and the women appeared on Dateline, "Jerry Springer" and "48 Hours"
Uh no, Tom made an error in judgment, a thirteen year old girl relied on Tom and the Church for Judgment. And at 30 she still relies on Tom and the Church for judgement. And he is sharing his Judgments with Jerry and the gang. Now he is in the Church of Prison where they have there own beliefs, and their judgments can be, oh so harsh, and lasting. In a lasting kind of way, like getting a thirteen year old girl to submit to his needs for at least the last 15 or so years.
I don't often wish a harsh reality on another but it would benefit the rest of the populous if ol Tom said "you know maybe we, the church should let little girls grow up a bit before we should brainwash them into thinking their lives are to submit to males and the males will be the liaison to a higher power

Probe Into Salt Lake City Games
Salt Lake City officials have acknowledged paying nearly $400,000 in scholarships to 13

A medical agency in Salt Lake City has acknowledged giving tens of thousands of dollars
