TV what is it good for. Other than entertainment, absolutely nothing. I mean what did they do in the old days. To hear all the old $#%% talk,  they had family time, where they talked with one another, or read a book, or quilted something, in general some non TV produced event. The reason they did these things was because they didn’t have a TV. Set one 36" TV in the middle of those happy surroundings and all that lame happy hour stuff is gone.

All any of us care about is being entertained, we don’t care how it happens, we just want to be entertained. Years ago, my wife and 4 year old daughter and me were in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of winter, in a 12’ trailer with one 12" 12volt TV, not one hint of reception, just fuzz. But there was one other trailer in the "trailer park" and they had an antenna. Finally I couldn’t take it anymore, while they were at work I spliced in to their antenna lead wire. Man when sounds came out of that little white TV, all I can say is it was comforting. One station, from a far away place, it was their local church stuff. Fine, no prob, I sat down on the fold out bed 12" away from the picture, and stared. I still Think About This.
