New EPA Rules Ready For Underground Gasoline Tanks
So what. Will it make a difference? All that gas escaping into the earth.
There are some new ideas as to how to deal with petroleum type spills, the biggest
problem they present, is they work. The EPA just cant use a useable substitute for
their rules and regulations.
Its kind of like the internal combustion engine, to many jobs to worry about changing
now, at least in a CEOs lifetime.
Lets talk about garbage. They have closed down the rural dumps. Im not clear on the
promulgated reason, they are just too confusing. Im sure it has something to do with
protecting the environment.
I could be wrong, but how does closing one semi maintained rural county landfill
that services, 500 residence, 125 domiciles, make that needed difference in the
protection of the environment. There are so many ways to look at it. I will suggest,
and not all things considered that the 100 that have been made to subscribe to a service,
pay an average of $10.00/month. Whats that about a 1000 dollars a month. For some
reason the money doesnt even come close to the costs or profit, for weekly pickups,
I
could be wrong about the numbers. What is the big deal about paying a few dollars a
month, well it isnt a big deal. Its those Saturday 20 mile trips to the landfill
that hurt.
Time, gas and that all important dump fee. Plus its not necessary
Most folks who are required to subscribe to a service generate normal garbage,
no nuclear or biological stuff, maybe batteries and some oilstuff yet those outside of the
outside of the limits are exempt, as they should be. Most of those exemptions are for
ranches and other business ventures, those that have the need for much of the really bad
stuff.
All things considered, those who have to pay are not the ones who are depositing the bulk
of what would be considered hazards. And of those exempt that deposit their
normal
garbage. If it isnt hurting their, (mine your and our environment) why are we not
dumping our non toxic, or toxic, stuff as well. This can and will be forever argued, but
let us a least have an understanding where the benefits are. It does not substantially
benefit the environment to close rural dumps. It benefits the business of the closing of
these landfills
This has the sound of someone who is saying, its not fair, its not fair. Well it
aint fair,
and it aint fair because those that get the exemptions say, it aint fair,
which is why they
are exempt, and because they are businesses.
As all these closure continue, the majority keep paying for what we are told is a noble
thing.
At some point everyone has to have the pleasure of walking into their State
Environmental Protection Agency, its Massive, its Redundant, its Corrupt, and its
Business as Usual.
