U.S. Expels Three Cuban Diplomats At The U.N.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, What is the real deal with Cuba. For a whole bunch of years now the first thing
that pops into my mind when I hear a reference to Cuba is, Castro is one tough son of a
bitch and I admire his stick-to-it-ness. What has it been, 30 something, years. Why is
this little tiny country, island, interconnected community, such a threat to us. We all
know, and its been shown, that the socialistic values that he talks up don’t work. What
are we scarred of. I know this little agricultural sugar growing island would probably
effect our economy, but there are plenty of capitalistic Americans, of any nationality,
that would take care of that.

Ideology, maybe thats it. However I don’t think that their wish to eat and our
wish to make money would get in the way of such a small thing. I used to think man
they are a guerrilla rebel creating machine, and I’m sure Castro rules with an iron hand,
and the troops do what they are told, or else, and they are just plain bad. But then I
learned to think for myself.
This, like everything else, boils down to the bottom reasons for it all. Personal
wants for those that are asked to deal on our behalf, and all we do is allow it to become
clouded up with talk.
There was a time I thought, hey this is world class stuff, who am I, these guys
know stuff I couldn’t even dream of. Still think that way, but but baring that
the island is contaminated with some nuclear poison, even a lowly barely informed
person like me, could broker a settlement, that would overwhelmingly benefit, us. And
Cuba would go from the 50’s to the 90’s in just one decade. Everybody’s happy.
