Catchword for the Day

par·a·noi·a

par·a·noi·a (pàr´e-noi¹e) noun

1. A psychotic disorder characterized by delusions of persecution or grandeur, often strenuously defended with apparent logic and reason.

2. Extreme, irrational distrust of others.

[Greek, madness, from paranoos, demented : para-, beyond. See para-1 + nous, noos, mind.]

As with most of what I will share, I like to have a little first hand knowledge of the subject. Take the daily word. Ever heard it used, in a loving sort of way. You know kind of like, honey your becoming a little paranoid, I think you should see a doctor. My wife laughed at me once, because I thought, well lets just say I was a little paranoid. I think, she’s laughed at me more than once

Oh yea the word, its used in a negative manner, as a last ditch effort to halt the truth.

Power

corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, something like that.

Look at Mike Tyson, here is a guy who has a bit of power. He wasn’t granted any, he just took it, kind of empowered himself, without asking. A little uppity, too, if you know what I mean. Tyson’s status can make people jump. He can force himself on any girl and bite all the ears he wants. His status and power will continue, if not increase. Put Mr. Tyson on a national TV program, ask him what he would like to say to the Nevada Boxing Commission, "Fuck em" he said that twice. That takes balls. The guy is going to do and say what he wants. If he were anybody other than Mike Tyson, Don King’s "niger superstar" he would be in jail. We all know why he is not. You don’t kill the golden goose, even if it is corrupt, especially if your in line to make a buck from it. Nothing new there.

Boxing is nothing more than tap dancing gladiators, for our amusement. Make a fist, try to hit your opponent in the nose, eye, generally try to shake his brain, real fast. But don’t bite.

I don’t know the boxing commission from the commissions I do know, but they are all the same. This commission is making great theater, by trying to pass itself off as a societal sports guardian, for sportsmanship. Like the sport has ethical boundaries. The sad part is there are plenty that allow it, because they enjoy the sport. Boxing is no problem for me, cause I have my own way to waste time.

In the grand scheme, does anyone think this Tyson happening has any value.

( give me a break on the money thing) Short term, oh yea. But how about long term.

For those of you who say, well thats the way it is, its always been like that.

Well no shit. How about the rest of you, who are tired of being the buffer for these morons. You, who feel its hard enough to have to explain away why you can lie if you do a good job, you can bite, only if you are a real good hitter.

I was advised when I first got online, if you do not want what you say or do to be on the 5:00 O-Clock news, keep it to yourself. The results of Tyson’s psychiatric tests will no doubt make the news, at some point. If I were Tyson, I would donate all the proceeds from the next fight, to Don King. Have Don burgle the homes of the commissioners, then ask them publicly. Whats it worth to you?

What is it worth to you?

Think about that, the next time your counting your booty

A N editorial note

I do appreciate the opportunity to throw out some thoughts to the public. This will be informative and productive or it will take the course like anything else that has no value.

Those of you who have practical and functional thoughts on change. Bring the subjects out in the open. Talk to each other, if this is done in a reasonable way, needed change can happen. It won’t happen talking to me, we will just argue, or agree, DONE!!!!!! But if you must, take your best shot.

One more thing. This is a little embarrassing as I have no education, GED, thats about it. Half of my family is from Arkansas, I’m unemployed and broke. So my sincere hope is, when I trash your funky little clubhouse rules, get over it, and back to the subject.
